Reconnect project focuses on something we risk to lose in today’s hyper-digitalized society: the contact with and the comprehension of the most advanced beings in the world, the plants. A 500 hundred million years old ecosystem, a natural intelligence way more developed than any A.I., where members communicate with and help each other in the most extended network on Earth.
Pictures of bark and other details are digitally edited to highlight something we too often ignore even when it’s in front of us, in our cities.
Artwork supports vary from fine art prints with LED backlights to UV prints on metal, from wall projections to video on LCD screens.
The project is dynamic: it can be adapted to the context and the space, as well as trees and plants adapt themselves to the environment in which they live. It comprehends also ♪ soundscapes ♪ for a multi-sensory immersive experience.
Sustainability is taken into account: trees have been planted to compensate for CO2 emissions; photovoltaic panels can be used to power the LED strips of backlighted prints, just like trees convert light energy into chemical energy through photosynthesis.
